Phalebash (Parbat), Oct 24: The Ekata Youth Club, Parbat has extended material support to last a year for 13 visually impaired students of Shivalaya Higher Secondary School.
The Club in coordination with Australian national, Diana Dunham, distributed educational materials and warm clothes for the coming winter to the visually impaired students enrolled at the school. The Club also handed over Rs 500 per student to buy school uniforms.
On the occasion, the students gave a musical performance to honour the donors. They also complained that the state has been treating them as second-class citizens and through their songs the students poured their problems and grievances.
The school from the ongoing educational term started admitting visually impaired students.
