Gorkha, Sept 16: As many as 2,000 students from various community schools in Gorkha district recently received free check up of their heart.
The health camp, targeted to students, was organized by the Nepal Heart Foundation, Gorkha at Mahendra Secondary School at Daskilo and Saraswati Secondary School at Ahale in the district.
A three-member team led by cardiologist at Bir Hospital Dr Prakashraj Regmi carried out the test for students' heart conditions.
During the check up, two students were diagnosed with cardiovascular complications. The treatment for both students which costs around Rs 300,000 will be borne by the Foundation, according to Foundation's Secretary Pawan Raman Khanal.
The health-heart screening programme will be launched in two more schools in the district headquarters - Bal Mandir Secondary School and Mahendra Jyoti Secondary School, shared Secretary Khanal.
