Kathmandu, Sept 20: The Nepali Congress has paid attention to the finding of improvised explosive devices and other suspicious objects in the premises of various Kathmandu Valley-based schools this morning.
In a press statement today, party Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said such incidents are in the open violation of people's unalienable rights and child rights to education in a free and peaceful atmosphere.
Police recovered pressure cooker bombs from the premises of Aakashdeep and Manakamana Higher Secondary Schools and other suspicious objects from the Rai School and East Pole and Radiant colleges.
"The NC strongly condemns such incidents carried out targeting schools that remain as a zone of peace," the party said in the statement, demanding stern action against the guilty of such criminal activities.
