Information-Technology campaigner, Mahavir Pun, was extended a support of Rs 5,000 by Nishan Ghimire, a fifth grader at Suryodaya Public School in Ghattekulo.
School's Chairman Lakshya Bahadur KC handed over the support to Pun, who is campaigning for establishment the National Invention Centre. Pun has already declared his donation of 28 ropanis of land property that he owns in Pokhara for establishment of the Centre.
He has been imploring the successive premiers who have come to lead the government since the term of the then PM Dr. Baburam Bhattarai for support and concessional loans. He has only received assurances from the heads of government.
Pun, who hails from Myagdi, has been running 'Wireless Network Project' under his lone effort in his home district and neighbouring districts including the villages in Parbat.
Pun is also the founder of Science Technology Centre. He has also been providing support to the grassroots people of the remote hinterlands by opening local level invention centres. He has been honoured with 'Ramon Magsaysay Honour' for socio-economic revolution through wireless network in the villages.
Pun said he plans to equip the villages with technology and added his success would be possible only with everyone's support.
