Japanese students help rebuild quake-damaged school in Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur, Aug 24: A group of Japanese students studying at the Everest International School in Japan have provided financial and technical support for the reconstruction of a quake-damaged school at Lapu in Bhaktapur.

Officiating Secretary at the Ministry of Education Dilli Ram Rimal inaugurated a new building of Mahakaleshower Primary School at Lapu in Suryabinayak Municipality-13 in Bhaktapur district on Wednesday.

The building of the School had sustained damages during the Gorkha Earthquake that rattled the country on April 25, 2015.

The five-roomed building was built at the cost of around Rs 2.7 million, according to Principal of the School Krishna Hari Karki.

On the occasion, Officiating Secretary Rimal instructed the management of the School to make the best use of the School's physical infrastructure.
