The school enrollment campaign launched in Palpa has been successful in bringing dropouts back to schools.
Students who had left schools due to various reasons such as poverty and lack of awareness of the importance of education are returning to schools. Under the campaign, door-visit programmes were held with the commencement of this academic session to make parents aware of the importance of education.
A total of 4,536 primary dropouts returned to schools. Majority of them are from the Dalit and indigenous community, as stated by the District Education Office Palpa.
In this academic session, the number of new enrollment that also includes dropouts is 9,774.
