Kathmandu, Nov 10: Education Minister Dhaniram Poudel has said better management of the existing schools instead of opening new ones is the government's focus.
Taking part in a discussion programme organised by National Campaign for Education-Nepal and Learning Group here today, Minister Poudel said the proper management of the community schools ensuring quality education is the priority of the government.
A new (revised) education regulations that is in the process of formulation will lay focus on merger of schools with less number of students and the quality improvement of those with a good number of students.
Currently, there are some 33,000 community schools across the country.
